John and Daniel Hughes founded Hueson Wire Corp. in 1996 in our present factory in Northbridge, MA. Our initial foray was in supplying private labelers; distributors and larger cable manufacturers insulated single conductor lead wire products.
As time went on our industry went through many dramatic changes. Through acquisitions, larger factories absorbed several of the specialty wire and cable manufacturers. As the mega factories continued to gobble up the niche producers they constantly evaluated their newly acquired product lines. |

Often they focused on the competencies that fit into their product scheme and walked away from areas and opportunities that were not in their future plans.
It was soon apparent to the management of Hueson Wire that the industry had a need for a wire & cable job shop.
The definition of a Job Shop:
Job shops are typically small manufacturing operations that handle specialized manufacturing processes such as small customer orders or small batch jobs. Job shops typically move on to different jobs (possibly with different customers) when each job is completed. By nature of this type of manufacturing operation, job shops are usually specialized in skill and processes.

Today we exist as a specialty wire and cable manufacturer. While we still supply some of the standard UL & CSA lead wires that our company first produced in 1996 our capabilities and offerings have expanded. We currently operate 4 extrusion lines, three cablers, a dozen braiders as well as stripers and spoolers. Our factory runs one and a half shifts, six days per week and we are constantly evaluating and adding new equipment, capabilities and approvals.
Cables can be produced either with customer supplied drawings or samples, or designed in house by our product engineers. Contact us with your specific needs and requirements and we will submit a drawing for your consideration. |
